It is with pleasure that I had received the announcement concerning the 14th IRO SAR Dog World Championship which is to be held in July in Samobor.

Samobor has received the great honor of welcoming the representatives from numerous countries of the world and of representing the Republic of Croatia in the activities of protecting and rescuing people. The fact that over 130 best dogs in the world that have been specifically educated for search and rescue missions will compete in this championship speaks for itself about the importance of this event.

We have witnessed on innumerable occasions the significant role of educating dogs in rescue missions of injured or missing persons after natural disasters. The fundamental condition of success of these dogs in their duties is a high quality education program, and the fact that your association has received the role of hosting this vital international event bespeaks the success of your effort.

This project is of great significance for the tourist promotion of the town of Samobor and the republic of Croatia therefore I wish you a lot of success in its realization and in the further activities of your association.
